Open House Vilnius Poster
Open House Vilnius is an open architecture weekend held in my home city. During such weekends, the buildings with remarkable architectural quality are open to the public. In 2019, the number of visitors reached a total of 36,4000.
For the 5th anniversary of Open House Vilnius, the organizers held a public poster competition. 147 posters were submitted, and I was lucky to win the 3rd place.
Challenge
Create a visual that reflects the topic ”Architecture that changes thinking” and is adapted to the existing branding.
Solution
Vilnius is a city that contains architectural pieces of different styles from various time periods.
These contrasting old and new city parts exist in a constant urbanistic transformation. The goal is to keep a balanced city life. These modifications are similar to Rubik’s Cube: the purpose is to solve structural problem by moving the parts independently without the entire mechanism falling apart.
